Skywatch Friday

A couple weeks ago I was driving home at dusk and I turned the corner and saw all this color...

I pulled over and shot this remarkably unattractive Port of Seattle building! I hated the look of it in the shot, so I decided to drive a few blocks out of my way and get up on a hill above the next town.

Of course, by then I was losing the color.

Which I guess is a lesson to work with what you have in front of you... at least around sunset!

Nice colors in that cloud bank - rain on the way?... and view (especially from the second shot). Yeah, one never knows which way the color is going to go after a sunset. I've seen sunsets where I was convinced that the color would begin to fade only it did the opposite and just got more vivid and intense...

Love your skies. It's always fascinating to watch the changes. Nice shots. :)

I like the view in the second picture. It's really a nice shot the first ones not bad either.

What colors do you think God uses when he paints pretty pictures like these? Great captures!

It may be an unattractive building, but the sky sure made up for it.

The colours look like brushstrokes across the sky...very pretty...
