One minute I was wearing capris and tank tops, the next thing I knew, it was November and TOG and I were talking turkey!
Each fall, I try to be truly grateful for the changing of the seasons, the beauty of the leaves turning colors and the chill in the air. This gratitude is mitigated by chilly toes, nippy nose and wheezy lungs!
And then November sneaks up on me and I realize that as we enter this season of gratitude, I have so much to be thankful for. Some of them are not the things I thought I'd be thankful for years ago... sometimes life holds surprises for us, and we have to focus on the things we have control over.
As always, I am truly grateful for the things in my life that remain constant. My beloved, who is both a constant challenge and a comfort; my yoga, which keeps me grounded and centered; my job, which exhausts and rewards me; my girls who delight me by letting me help them and spending time with me; My dad and my step mom, who are a constant source of joy and humor; my doglets who make me laugh and cuddle me when I need it. My friends, both virtual and real, who make me smile. It truly is a wonderful life.
If you're reading this, then it's just possible I'm grateful for you as well. :)
