TOG and I spent a hour or so at the marina this last weekend with our cameras. For some reason, I've really felt drawn to these shots in the last couple of days. They feel very calming and serene.

We might have stayed longer, except for the cold snap we had at the time. You can just see the sheen of ice at the marina. This is definitely not the norm for us, even in Janauary

But as is often the case, our cold winter weather brings the most fantastic light. I only wish I'd shot these with a lens hood.

Thank you so much for all your kind thoughts yesterday. They are so appreciated. After better sleep last night, the sadness seems steady and more managable... less overwhelming. The headache? Gah....
