Well, one answer anyway. The life span of a hair dryer? Less than one day.
I brought the new one home from the store. I washed my hair yesterday morning. Plugged the dryer in. There was a whirring sound, a puff of smoke and then nothing. I didn't even get to warm my hair up. There I am with soaking wet hair and I have to leave for work in 15 minutes.
So I took it back to the store on my lunch break. The lady at the exchange desk took one look at my hair and refunded my money. I won't even post a pic. Dreadful.
Hopefully this new one is up to the task.
Have you ever been worried about washing your hair?

See, this is why I get someone else to blow dry my hair .. and I've seen you with wet hair and you still are beautiful
You're lucky the store didn't try to make you send it back to the manufacturer. Here's to better hair days ahead.
Apparantly the task of drying your hair is quite daunting. That dryer just gave up before it could even try, poor thing. You need a Little Dryer that Could hairdryer. "I think I can. I think I can. I think I can."

LOL. Sorry I go out with a wet head all the time. It froze last week while I brushed the snow off my car. So pretty.

I stress about my hair more than I should. Once it's wet I never know what it's going to do as it dries, with or without a hair dryer. Here's to hoping you and the new dryer become friends for a very long time!
I swear the same thing just happened to me. I finally ordered a really expensive one off the internet. If this one bites the dust, I might just have to shave my head...
