Blooms
Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at 6:48AM
Just a shot of what's blooming in my garden right now. At times like these, I wish I had a macro lens.

As much as I've complained about what a wet spring we had, it's hard to hold a grudge when you've got things like this going on in your yard!
However... now that it's officially summer, I would like to request a few days of temperatures in the 80s. And if that's too much to ask, I'll settle for the 70s.
Yours in "oh goody, another 65 degree cloudy day"
AG out!

As someone who lives in an area where 80 degree days would be a real blessing in the summer - be careful what you wish for!
Those flowers are very striking with the hot pink on the white. Lovely.
Gorgeous even w/o the macro .. Kate's gonna let us use her macro while we're in VA ... and wait til you use my 35mm .. oh you will be in love
Wow! If that's what 65-degree weather does to a yard, I'll take it any day! What a fabulous flower!
Such beauty! It has WOW all over it.
<><
What are those??? Some sort of lily? Love them!
Trade ya! Today was the first day in 19 days that wasn't in the 90's.
Love the lilly
No matter what kind of lens you want, the one you have is doing an incredible job of conveying the messages and the miracle of nature.
(I mean this literally as well as figuratively as follows:)
Remember our completely different states of mind or paradigms relating to the water last year (I know I never will forget because it really opened my mind)? Well, you can apply it to your request for temps in the 80s or 70s. We;ve had many straight days of 97, 98 and even 100+, so when I read your 70s and 80s I thought, Oh, they're having it awful on the West Coast too.
And you are! Except it's awful from the cold point of view instead of the incredibly hot point of view.
Asthma Girl, you are really good at making sure a person doesn't stagnate in their own silo.
See you in a few weeks.
The grass is always greener...we've got great weather going on right now, but it's supposed to hit 90 this weekend and be humid. Quite humid. So I kinda wish I had 65 degree cloudy weather. That, my dear, is PERFECT running weather. :)
Love the pics of your blooms! They're lovely.
What is that flower?? I've never see it and it's just gorgeous!
