This and That Thursday...
Thursday, February 4, 2010 at 7:11AM
- We've had no snow this winter. After last year's excess I'm kind of okay with that.
- I miss snow ( a little)
- K3's surgeon is really happy with the bone graft
- Wii Fit Plus is evil. The yoga and the super hula hoop are kicking my butt!
- I love the Wii Fit Segway race agains the moles!
- I'm working from home today! Yippee!
- I know someone who lives in Maryland!
- I think I'll make K3 scrambed eggs for dinner.
- The surgeon said nothing but soft foods for K3 the next 3 weeks. How much cream of wheat can one person eat?
- I still have to buy tires for my car
- I should do laundry and muck out the living room today. There's towels and medical supplies everywhere
- Maybe I should finish putting holiday nutcrackers away too?
- I feel great!
What's on your list today?
AG out!

I definitely miss snow!
I'm so glad to hear K3's surgeon is happy with the graft! That is great news.
I feel good today too.
Today I will be filling out an application for the Highline School District and continuing my job search. Oh, I might watch the season premiere of Lost too.
Glad that K3 is doing well and that you are doing well, too. I will mail you some snow from Michigan so you can enjoy it 'cause I do not want ANY MORE here.
I also love the Segueway thing for Wii fit although I'm terrible at it. Yup, wii fit always tells me I'm Unbalanced. Darnit.
Doesnt really compare but after I had all the major $$$$ bridgework done I was told to eat soft foods for a week .. I discovered that in small small portions you can 'eat' things like tuna and/or salmon salad (w/o celery!) and other foods of that ilk ... you can also get orzo down .. slides down easy ... rice pudding is yum .. anything you can put on a teaspoon and swallow w/o choking .. you'd be amazed.
So glad everyone is doing well! Scrambled eggs and cottage cheese is my favorite soft food combo! I know someone in Maryland, too;) And she is coming to visit in one week!
Boredom is on my list (sigh)....
Has K2 been enjoying milkshakes?? Yum!
Good news about K3! yeah! I am thinking about getting that wii fit. But I wonder if I will use it?? I'm such a slacker!

The best foods in life are soft and smooth....instant mashed potatoes; real mashed potatoes (although sometimes mine are crunch, inadvertently); pureed broccoli (and cheese to be decadent); creamed spinach (yes, it's delicious); mashed sweet potatoes (with butter and brown sugar); mashed cauliflower (butter and salt); cream of ANYTHING soup.
Actually, if you use your crock pot to cook things like chicken, it comes out sooooo moist and tender. You could then put THAT in a blender and puree that (even with some broccoli). I used to make my own baby food, delicious! PUDDING! Right now I have a gazillion boxes of jello instant pudding - coconut cream; banana cream; chocolate; butterscotch.
No, I am not a resident in a senior citizen home. And I do have my own teeth. Most of them. .
Glad she had a successful surgery.
