Today's Wide Open Wednesday takes a moment to remember Capt. Phil Harris of the Cornelia Marie. Capt. Phil died last night following a massive stroke suffered during a crab offload last week.
For those of you unfamiliar with Capt Phil, he was one of the crab boat captains on the Discovery Channel's hit show, Deadliest Catch. Probably the only show on tv that I NEVER miss.
I liked Capt. Phil for his humor, candor, crankiness and butt kicking attitude. He was the poster child for "Wide Open"!
Thanks Capt Phil, for letting us peek at your life and be entertained by your pranks on other captains, your dust-ups with your sons, and your salty attitude toward life. Rest in Peace...
AG out!

I've only caught a few episodes of the show, but I recognize him. Sorry he's gone.
My kid of guy!
RIP Capt Phil.
