Just looking for my happy space this morning. It's been an exhausting weekend.
K3 continues to improve and now that she's keeping food and pain meds down, we're working on increasing her food and fluid intake, starting her hygieine rinses and getting her back to drinking out of a glass without putting ANY pressure on her lower jaw (due to the bone graft). Until recently, everything was delivered by spoon or syringe. She can't use a straw because of the extractions and that has really made feeding and watering pretty labor intensive. Last night we got her carefully sipping chocolate milk from a cup and we were both relieved!
Off to wash more dishes.... towels... spoons...
AG out...
PS - Shot taken of Puget Sound looking southwest toward Tacoma at 6:15 pm.

Glad to hear K3 is improving! Of course she's got a strong Puppy Presence going on (loved that post by the way) which has to help with the pain and whatnot. You are all in my thoughts. Keep up the healin', K3!
The recovery process from oral surgery can be very, very slow, but at least it sounds like some improvement is being made.
Gorgeous shot of the water and sunset!
Maybe you thought of this but .. not sure if you need to use it like a straw .. but a sippy cup might be good .. I bet Ben would let her have one of his ...
Photo is super ... xox
What a fabulous shot! I'd really love to see Washington some day.
I was relieved to read that K3 is recovering well. Can you see the light at the end of the tunnel yet?
The photo's gorgeous. Wish I was there to help out. {{{HUGS}}}
What a beautiful picture! I will use it as my happy place too as I am swimming in various bodily fluids myself here with 4 kids with head colds...
I am glad she is on the road to recovery. I lost some of the story due to being overwhelmingly busy with the fostering...was this the last procedure?
I hope the rest of the healing goes well.
Missed you!
Oh man, baby steps.
