Yeah... It's like that...

Life continues to swirl at an unbelievable pace... I know that sounds dorky (I am a professional dork) but I think when you have these huge life moments, there's always a desire to slow things down to enjoy them. I remember holding my babies in the hospital and people saying "it will go so fast" and I thought "no, I'm in total control and I will retain and enjoy this time with the baby". Well, it did go fast and it still does. And now my baby has had a baby. It's fun to joke about Ben having a favorite liquor by next week, or shaving... but seriously, even 24 hours later, he's different.... and better!

I didn't even go home last night after work, just straight to the hospital to see the new family and well... Ben. I bought him a wiper warmer so he won't have to deal with cold butt wipers. He is not a fan of the diaper change! Yes, I know that makes me a super dork Wheemaw and I don't care!

Here's Grandpa enjoying some Ben time!

TOG Grandpa works in engineering at Ben's hospital, so he can pop in now and then during his shift. (And Ben's foot isn't cold, it's nice and warm and pink)

K1 felt good, got up and washed her face and then realized she was exhausted! Back to bed! It takes some time!

I've been bringing the laptop in so she can update her facebook! Cuz technology and birth is like peanut butter and jelly... or green eggs and ham. (dork alert)

Oh fine....Here's Ben...

Somehow his hair has gone completely straight and a little greasy. I think someone has been kissing his head with chapstick on.... I don't know who...

*sigh* Hello Precious!

Okay... so today will be crazy. I still have to work. I have to go to the bank. I have to visit Ben. Then I have to go home and finish packing. Because tomorrow is the day we leave for San Diego. We're taking K3 to Seaworld. She fell in love with Free Willy years ago and she has always wanted to go to Seaworld. So TOG has been saving money for her graduation and this is what she wants more than anything.

Of course I'm excited to go, but if you'd told me a month ago I'd be getting on a plane and flying off to another state just a few days after getting a grand baby, I'd have said you were nuts! And on a personal note, I don't recommend it. Just saying...

I've already cried all over K1 about it. I guess that's my job...

AG out!
