The Pier

It's either been flaming hot or nice summer weather here in Seattle lately, depending on who you ask! For me, it's flaming hot, yesterday was 86. Today the same. Tomorrow even warmer. I dream of air conditioning!

My go-to choice for hot weather is to take the Brute Squad down to the water front where salt water breezes off the water generally cool things off about 10 degrees. So comfortable. As I was walking Cassie last night, I noticed something...

She's about the same size as the curb! Heart of a lion though.... another larger dog approached her and she had her low growl ready! What a dope. She's pretty sure she's top dog though!

We made our way past the Quartermaster's office and over to the water front park which has a huge lawn....

First they like to scope things out...

Lots of sniffing the air to make sure there aren't any lions! Then we take off the leashes and for Maddie... that's when the running starts!

While Cassie...

...just plows through the grass after me!

Yup! The Brute Squad loves the pier!

On a hot and hazy day, it's just right!

AG out!

new post in photography... What I see from the on ramp to the freeway!

It looks like a good time was had by all. I second your opinion about hot weather . . . I could do without it!

Looks like a good time was had by all. I love that dog sniff. Lona does the same thing and I always wonder what her super strong nose is picking up. A dog four miles away? A bird three blocks over?

That is one tiny dog.

We're getting a puppy soon--waiting until after July 4th because we'll be out of town. And also? I need to strengthen up my resolve for puppy training. Still not sure what kind we're getting, tho--have go check out the animal shelter.

Cassie's so pretty! There were chihuahuas at the agility trials, but I didn't get any photos. :( Yours are the prettiest!

Little dogs always seem to scare the crap out of most big dogs. That always cracks me up. But little Maddie is just the sweetest thing the way she closes her eyes & breathes deep. Precious!

You sound like my daughter who complains of high 80's weather in L.A. You need to come here & visit for a few days. You'll go home & kiss the ground & the weather... I swear!

The Brute Squad is just so darn adorable! OH! I have an idea! On "Bring Your Dog To Work Day" (which is coming up) - Maybe you could dress them up in costume and C2 won't recognize them. And don't forget their sunglasses. They could move around the office in Stealth Mode. The Brute Squad...Incognito. I think it's worth a shot :)
