Simple things

This last week has been a celebration of the simple things....

The joy of stopping to take a picture on the way to work...

Baking cookies with K3...

Decorating a tree I didn't pick out...

Finally coloring a friends hair so she can look groovy for the holidays...

Allowing myself time to finish decorating in a day or so instead of stressing because I didn't get everything done in one day...

Today I have someone else's recipe in my crock pot. Dinner will be simple.

I will try not to dwell on:

How many chins I now have...

The size of my behind...

How many cookies I've eaten this week...

How much I've spent on Ben for Christmas...

The fact that I haven't wrapped a single present yet...

The dream I had about cleaning the bathrooms in the mall... (what was that about???)

Everything will come together. I have time this weekend... Barring any unforeseen disasters. (And I suck at the whole foreseeing thing, so any impending disaster would by default be unforeseen.)

I have so many of you to thank for sending good advice on destressing. Keeping things simple is really starting to work for me. What works for you?

AG out!

PS ~ A couple years ago, I wrote a post about a night that changed my life. Last night, out of the blue, the phone rang... and it all came back. I have to find the post (issues with changing blogging platforms!) and then I'll write the update. Stay tuned! It'll blow your mind!

"Keeping it simple" and "one day at a time"...Now you're talking my language, sweetie. LOL Sometimes all we can do is "suit up" and "show up" for life and let the chips fall where they may. Sometimes the chips fall into a giant crap patty...but...that's life. LOL Love you bunches! The picture on your post here is breathtaking! xoxo
