Countdown...

Here's K3 this morning. She had a pretty good night and slept a lot with just a medication break around 3:30. That little yogurt drink is the first decent amount of food since before the accident Thursday morning.

Here she is after another dose of meds and a sponge bath. She asked for the laptop and the remote control. As you can see, the brute squad is keeping a pretty close eye on her. You can also see the wound on her chest from the mirror hitting her.
While K3 improves, whatever curse is lying over us continues it's evil ways...
TOG came down with the flu last night. K2 drove him to the hospital at 3:30 this morning, his temp was really climbing. Since he's had the seasonal flu shot (so have I), I think the odds are good it's swine flu. Since he and I were holding hands and clutching each other these last few days, I think the odds are good I'm going to end up with it too.
I can't think of a worse one-two punch that K3's accident followed by the flu. Please, I just need to stay well so I can take care of her.
Off to the pharmacy to fill more prescriptions...
Dismally yours,
AG
My beloved Dr. M. called this morning because he heard about K3. When I told him TOG had the flu, he was really surprised since he saw TOG yesterday.
Dr. M. has called in flu meds and steroids to the pharmacy. He said the flu meds are appropriate for someone with heavy exposure to swine flu and chronic asthma.
He also noted that there have been no reports of seasonal flu in this area so TOG could only have swine flu.
I don't know what I'll do if K3 ends up with it.... TOG is sick as a dog. Actually, the Brute Squad is way healthier than TOG right now....

I will be lifting your family up...
Omg! Please call me if you need anything, seriously! Sending healing thoughts to all of you.
So glad K3 looks as good as she does. That thumbs-up says it all. Hope TOG's flu is of the mild variety.
God bless those puppies. And all of you. I may have a crush on Dr. M. Honestly though? I would come out there if you need me. I mean it.
What a good patient she is .. and what a shi!tstorm of bad this is. I so wish you lived closer, I would be there at your beck and call ... please let me know if there is anything at all I can do .. I will hide in Lauren's carryon xo
When it rains, it pours. You must stay healthy, Di. Just send positive thoughts out into the universe and all will be well. Is her jaw wired shut? I'll be looking for a variety of fun straws to send to K3.
You poor thing! I am praying as hard as I can! You certainly are a nurse right now!
If you need to barricade yourself into the bathroom, DO IT. Whatever it takes not to get that flu, AG. Stay well and I'm sure pulling for your family this week!
The Brute Squad sure does know when they are needed, don't they? Poor K3! I wish I could send you something to ease the pain for all of you but what would that possibly be? Oh, okay, I've got it.
I'm going to weave a spell that will take the evil curse off of your beautiful, precious family. I sincerely hope it works... Say your prayers and keep your fingers crossed. It might work.
Did the truck that hit K3 at least get issued a ticket? Because that is against the law, right? You can't pass school buses (or any buses really) until the passengers are out and across the street. I'm just so sorry that this happened, Diane. It truly makes me sick and if I lived there I'd be over there to help you all out (with a mask on, of course).
When it rains it pours, huh?
